The vibrant colors of the art studio felt muted to Clara. Her painting, a piece she'd spent weeks on, was deemed "lacking imagination" with a C-. Her usually steady hands trembled as she looked at her canvas and her heart felt heavy. She had stopped eating, barely sleeping.

She sat heavily on her stool, her back aching. The scent of turpentine and oil paints, usually invigorating, now filled her with a sense of dread. The sunlight streaming through the window seemed distant and cold.
